What the work involves
Commercial work runs to a programme. We price against drawings or an agreed scope, coordinate the rough-in with the builder's stages, and hand over with the distribution boards properly scheduled and labelled so whoever maintains the site afterwards can read them. Depending on the job that covers main and sub-distribution boards, three-phase supply to plant and machinery, lighting design to the required lux levels, emergency and exit lighting, data and comms, and metering where a tenancy is being split or combined.

The triggers we see most often are:
- an office or retail fitout that has to be handed over on a fixed date
- a warehouse or factory taking on three-phase plant the board cannot feed
- a tenancy split or amalgamation requiring new distribution and metering

Why it is worth doing properly
The reason it is worth planning is that commercial electrical failures are expensive in trading time rather than in repair cost. A distribution board with no spare capacity, or one nobody has scheduled, turns a half-hour fault into a day of guesswork.

Work is programmed around trading and around the builder. Where a site cannot lose power in hours, the switching is done out of hours and priced that way from the start rather than added afterwards. Boards are handed over scheduled and labelled, and where the site has an existing maintenance arrangement we work to it.
What it costs
Commercial work is quoted per project or per stage against drawings or a scope. Ongoing maintenance is arranged as a contract rather than a call-out rate.
Quotes are free, fixed-price and given after a site inspection. What is quoted is what is paid, and a Certificate of Electrical Safety is issued on completion.
